Getting from Beirut Airport
Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) is the main gateway to Lebanon. This page outlines common ways to leave the airport. Confirm current procedures, fares and availability with official airport information before you travel. We do not publish fixed taxi prices without a verification date.
Official airport taxis
Licensed airport taxis are normally available at the arrivals area and are marked “Airport Taxi”.
• Confirm that the vehicle carries official airport taxi marking before boarding. • Agree how the fare will be calculated (meter or agreed fare) before departure when possible. • Prices and availability change — verify against the latest official airport information. • Unofficial drivers may approach passengers; prefer clearly marked airport taxis or a pre-booked transfer arranged by your hotel.
Other transport options
Depending on your plans, travellers also use:
• Pre-booked private transfers • Hotel pickup arranged by your accommodation • Car rental desks (confirm operators and opening hours on site) • Pickup by family or friends • Accessible transport arranged in advance with your airline or hotel
Ride-hailing apps are not listed as recommended options here until licensing and availability are verified for airport use.
A private airport transfer booking option is coming soon. Until then, see the airport transportation guide for current options.
Approximate travel towards Beirut and beyond
Orientation times only — traffic, checkpoints and road conditions change. These are not fixed fares.
Parking, groups and children
Airport parking, large groups, extra luggage and travelling with children may affect which option you choose. Check official airport channels for parking and terminal guidance. For medical assistance inside the terminal, see the Health Care page under Airport Guide.
